A moving target describes best the task at hand as CharlesKendrick & Company set out to capture Dallas’ vision by creating the phenomenal model for The Trinity River Corridor Balanced Vision Plan. From the onset, the model was slated to represent in three dimensions the scope and scale of the enormous project, and bring a sense of reality of how The Trinity Project fit into the whole Dallas city urban context.
Creating the Public’s First Physical Glimpse of an Idea —
The Trinity River Corridor Model is an intricately detailed model that depicts major components of Dallas’ Balanced Vision Plan, both inside and outside the levees including replicas of the Calatrava signature bridges – Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and Margaret McDermott Bridge – two urban lakes, the island, ball fields and white water course, gateway parks such as Moore Park Gateway, and residences and businesses along and around the Trinity River.

More than 25,000 feet of fiber optics are intricately woven into the model to create a spectacular nighttime scene, from lighted streetlamps to the distinctive designs on Reunion Tower and Renaissance Tower.
